Arab Struggle Movement of Ahwaz
The Arab Struggle Movement of Ahwaz (ASMLA) is a national liberation movement established to defend the rights of the Arab Ahwazi people and restore their sovereignty over their historic homeland.
The movement was founded in response to decades of systematic oppression and marginalization suffered by the Arab people in the Ahwaz region (officially known as Khuzestan) since the Iranian occupation in 1925.
Ahwaz: Land and People
Ahwaz (historically known as Arabistan) is an Arab region located in southwestern Iran, covering an area of approximately 375,000 square kilometers, home to over 8 million Arabs.
